Progress

As I sit down to write this blog, there is a jackhammer breaking up the sidewalk right outside my window. I keep telling myself the City crews are making progress and the end result will be fantastic! But for now, I am reaching for the Advil and I’m sure the guy operating the jackhammer might need one too.

Progress. When you think about it, the Biblical picture is that progress comes with pain. Just as the old sidewalk is being chipped away by the powerful jackhammer; we deepen our spiritual walk through experiencing trials. Hebrews says that Christ learned obedience by the things which He suffered. Peter says that our response to trials will show the genuineness of our faith when it is tested by fire. James says to count it all joy when you fall into trials.

If you are experiencing a season of trials right now – consider how it can deepen your faith. It is the means by which we make progress.

And now, if I could just find those ear plugs!

Progress for me is just another form of testing ofyour faith. Everytime I have deepened my walk with the Lord it has came from a trial of Faith. Something that I had to just fully trust in God that he was in control and that he would never leave me nor forsake me.This past year God brought me out of addiction and blessed me with givng me back my daughter and her mother whom I am marrying in 3 weeks. A year ago today she still had a restraining order against me. This last year we all made alot of progress, but it came with alot of pain, so unless your willing to go through those refing fires then it would be hard to ever walk deeper and deeper into a authentic relationship with Christ. Wheeler thank you so much for all you have done for me, my family and I owe you so much, the Hebron program is a true blessing to have in this country. We enjoyed last weekend at the stamp out, can't wait for the next event.
Love you all
